Tom Brady is one of 3 residents who’ve applied for the open Town Council seat, after the resignation of Jim Atterholt, along with John McLean and Jim Boan. Brady was our guest last Saturday at Margaritaville. Here’s how you can watch the interview.

The 4 remaining Town Council members will vote on who fills the seat at their February 17th meeting. If a person is appointed at that meeting, whoever it is will take the open seat immediately.
The appointment is until this November when the seat will be on the ballot along with John King’s seat and Rebecca Link’s seat.
John King should recuse himself from the entire vote! The whole “King can’t vote for Brady” thing tips the scales of fairness and could probably be challenged in court. His recusal would stop the noise and further division. Hoping he’ll do the right thing.
Can we bet on whether the TC will get a consensus vote on a replacement. I bet the seat will remain empty until November…..
