The Lee County beach tram will start running again on Thursday, November 20th. The free tram runs about every 30-40 minutes, seven days a week from Fort Myers Beach Public Library to Bowditch Point Park.
Service begins at 8:20 a.m. daily at the library and ends with the last tram leaving Bowditch Point Park at approximately 10:55 p.m.
Let’s get a tram to run along the beach so it PASSES traffic on the road, instead of being IN the traffic on the road!
Will look forward to passing by the tram as I walk or bike to times Square. Hope they all enjoy the 30 min or longer traffic on the route…
Lee County should extend the route to Santini Plaza on a trial basis and see what increased ridership develops.
