As expected, Tom Brady has officially filed to run for Fort Myers Beach Town Council. Brady was narrowly defeated by Rebecca Link in the recall election last year. He came in second and would have taken over John King’s seat if a judge did not rule that King’s recall petition was flawed.
Brady is also the President of Protect FMB, a 501c3 that was formed to fight the Seagate development at the former Red Coconut property. A judge recently ruled against Protect FMB on the Writ of Certiorari they filed to try to force the Town Council to take a second look at the project.
Brady joins current Town Council member Rebecca Link, who filed to run this week, and Ed Schoonover, as the first three candidates to run. There are 3 seats on the November ballot. Link’s seat, John King’s seat and John McLean’s seat. Link was elected to Karen Woodson’s seat when Woodson was recalled by the voters last year.
McLean was appointed to Jim Atterholt’s seat when Atterholt resigned at the end of last year. McLean is expected to run. King is considering running.
The Fort Myers Beach election is non-partisan.

Anita!!!!!!
Stop talking to the wall.
Lock the dark rooms. Choose transparency.
Link. Brady. Scasny.
With Anita running, would Greg run? He would likely take votes away from the other three.
