Join the Estero Island Historic Society for a free public presentation at 1PM Monday, January 12th at the Fort Myers Beach Library called Finding Huck, Lee Melsek’s memoir of the early days of Fort Myers Beach.
Retired Fort Myers News-Press investigative reporter, and past President of the EIHS, Lee Melsek will recount tales of the golden past (1950s – ‘60s) growing up on Fort Myers Beach in his 2025 book: Finding Huck: Adventures Down Yonder.
The presentation will be held in the 3rd floor community room at the library and everyone is welcome.
Lee will also be signing his book the Saturday at the big book author event at The Book Nook in Santini Plaza and he’ll be on Beach Talk Radio Saturday morning at 10:30AM.

I’ve already ordered Lee’s book. Can’t wait to read it!

Wish there could be a Zoom or Facebook Live hook-up for this talk. Would love to hear it. But I’m in Minnesota these days. : – (
A nice break from politics and a fun time with some of the island’s history of lighter moments.
Be there or be square!
