We have the 4th of July parade and fireworks covered for you and if you’re out of town, you’ll be able to watch both on our Facebook and YouTube pages. We’ll be on the property of The Whale for the parade (10AM) and at License to Chill (9PM) for the Fireworks.
A reminder that the Matanzas Pass Bridge will be closed at 9am and for the duration of the parade. The parade will most likely be done around 11am. The bridge also closes once fireworks begin (at approximately 9PM). In order to allow traffic to get off the island quickly, there will be two lanes going off the Island and none coming on as soon as fireworks conclude. There is no late night trolley service available.
You can have 10 lanes on the bridge….but unless you make pedestrians wait at crosswalks…it will take an hour to exit the island.
