On Saturday, May 28th, The Shamrock on Fort Myers Beach hosted a benefit for the Chartier family who lost their 6-year old daughter Sophia to cancer. $15,000 was raised for the family, which was matched by the owners of the Shamrock for a total of $30,000.
Sophia’s dad Marcel has worked at Diamond Head resort on Fort Myers Beach for over 15 years.
The celebration of Sophia’s life began at 11AM and ran to 5PM.
Donations were collected for the family to help cover their medical expenses.
There was a live DJ, a dunk tank, a silent auction, raffles, door prizes and a 50/50.
