On Saturday September 24th, volunteers around the nation will build trails and bridges, pull invasive weeds, plant trees, remove trash, and have fun getting back to nature. You can participate at Lovers Key State Park.
At the same time, they’ll learn about human impacts on parks and lands, while taking part in a service endeavor fed with the energy of volunteers across the country. Join the thousands who will take part in the 29th annual National Public Lands Day and help do your part at Lovers Key State Park.
A Welcome and Discovery Center landscaping project will take place from 9 am to 12 pm on Saturday, September 24th. Volunteers will help with weed removal, trimming, weed barrier installation, mulching, and more. Volunteers must wear closed toe shoes. Refillable water bottles, sunscreen, hats, gloves, and bug repellent are highly recommended. Park entrance fee is waived for National Public Lands Day volunteers.
