Sanibel Captiva Community Bank has donated $50,000 to the Fort Myers Beach Chamber. The Chamber office on Estero Boulevard was totally destroyed in the storm and all Chamber supplies and office furniture was also lost.

Chamber President Jacki Liszak said receiving the call from President Kyle DiCicco was an absolute surprise and thrill. “We had no idea they were even considering a donation, let alone such a generous one. We cannot thank them enough for recognizing the important work that the Chamber does and for being willing to support us during our recovery. The Chamber team, Board of Directors, Ambassadors and members would like to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone at SanCap Bank for their continued support.”

Liszak says the donation will be used to continue chamber operations and events and to purchase some of the items that were lost in the storm (office furniture, supplies etc.)

“We felt a responsibility to help our friends on Fort Myers Beach continue to recover and rebuild from Hurricane Ian,” said Kyle DeCicco, president and CEO of Sanibel Captiva Community Bank. “The chamber has been helping beach businesses get back on track since the storm and we wanted to support their important work.”

The Chamber is now operating out of a temporary office on Lovers Lane on Fort Myers Beach
