CROW’s 2600th patient of 2024 is a Northern Mockingbird fledgling. The bird was admitted after it was found at a car dealership covered in windshield cleaner fluid and motor oil.
Upon admission the mockingbird had no significant injuries and appeared overall healthy despite the foreign material on its feathers. Staff continues to monitor the fledgling for any side effects from the oil. The patient is being raised with other mockingbird fledglings currently in care of CROW, and is getting fed 9 times a day by staff.
