There are now 6 Fort Myers Beach residents who’ve applied for the 4 open seats on the Local Planning Agency. Curlew street resident Tyler Spradling is the latest Fort Myers Beach resident to apply for the LPA.

Spradling grew up on Fort Myers Beach and is now a property owner who regularly attends Town Council meetings. This is his first committee application. On His application Spradling said, “I think my passion for the community and responsible development would be invaluable to the community.”

Spradling will be on Beach Talk Radio this Saturday at 10:30AM at License to Chill at Margaritaville.

The LPA is going to be making rebuild/development recommendations to the Town Council over the next few months and years that will last a generation.

Pearl Street resident Anne Neaf submitted her application on September 3rd.

The other 4 applications are all from current LPA members: John McLean, Don Sudduth, Doug Eckmann and Jim Dunlap.

The Council will fill the 2-year term seats on October 7th.

  1. Tyler Spradling is the man for the job. FMB needs a new generation of leadership, filled with local experience and insight, and a long-term vision for the future. He was raised in the community, and has committed his life to enriching it. Bravo, Tyler. Cannot wait to see your positive impact on Fort Myers Beach.

  2. Would be really good to have a resident that is a condo owner on the LPA as well. So much height hysteria and condo bashing…would be good if they are represented.
