Last week the Fort Myers Beach Art Association raised $12,737 during an auction fundraising event at Clive Daniel in Fort Myers. The Art Association lost their building on the beach during Hurricane Ian and they are raising funds for a new building.
Over 100 people registered prior to the event and an additional 40 people came to the event as a “walk-in” which the Art Association was not expecting.
Art Association Assistant Treasurer Star Sherwood said, “Everyone had a good time drinking cocktails while walking around the beautiful showroom and bidding on the items in our silent auction, enjoying the food, listening to the music by Kevin Kenworthy, and watching our working artists demonstrating their specific form of art. We also gave away raffle tickets for some really great door prizes that were donated by local businesses and individuals. Every auction item was purchased and both working artists sold their pieces right off the easel. A huge thank you to the staff at Clive Daniels who were great to work with and made the evening run smooth; thank you to all of our many sponsors; thank you to Ed and Kim Ryan – Beach Talk Radio for coming out to be with us for the evening; Dan and Megan Allers for fighting a very long line of traffic to make it to the event, and a special thank you to each and every single person who came out to show your love and support for the Fort Myers Beach Art Association. We are working hard to be back on the island and your generosity is deeply appreciated.”

I’m so sorry I missed it. So happy that it was a successful event.
Thank you to Ed and Kim who provided great advertising on their website and at their Saturday and Sunday shows prior to the fundraiser. Their expert reporting during the walk around was very much appreciated.
Love you guys!
