  1. I am interested to find out why people who are buying lots for homes – post Ian – are being allowed to put their RV or trailer, string lights, fences, etc. on their property? The Island is starting to look like one big RV park. I understand the property owners who lost their home in the hurricane but I know of 2 lots in my neighborhood that were purchased after Ian and they now have RV/trailers on the lot and are living in them.

    • Ask the mayor. He’s the one that seems to not notice things like this. We have an RV in our neighborhood that belongs to a guy who is renting the lot from the owner. The owner claimed he was “helping with things on her lot”. It’s an empty lot, what could he be doing to help???. The guy had a OLD class C and drives a Range Rover. He drives back and forth from his rv about 8 times a day. I really think he is dealing drugs. We saw him pull into one of the trailer areas off the island. This has been brought to ALL the members of the town council and mayor (via email with pictures) nothing was done and he has been there for around 1 yr. He used to have a big KEEP OUT sign. I am not sure if it is there now or not.

  2. Ed can you ask him if we are allowed to have egg laying hens? I saw a news report and Lee Country allows 4 hens per 800sq st of land. No roosters. It was on several news stations. I’m going to guess the answer is no because of course FMB council usually votes no on things that would help the residents.
