Big Water Event Announced

On Thursday, March 27th Calusa Waterkeeper is hosting Save Our Water: Protect our Health, Economy & Future luncheon from 11 am to 2 pm at Broadway Palm Dinner Theater. Speakers and panelists will raise awareness about the state of our local waters. Admission is $50 and includes lunch, networking, keynote speaker, and panel discussion.

Keynote speaker, Calusa Waterkeeper Emeritus John Cassani, will reveal the past and present water quality in the Caloosahatchee and Charlotte Harbor watersheds and how these changes affect our ecosystems, economy and even our health.

Water experts will take part in a panel discussion to discuss policy, pollution, and solutions. Panelists include South Florida Water Management Board Chairman Chauncey Goss, FGCU Water School Professor Michael Parsons, Kissimmee Waterkeeper John Capece, and Environmental Attorney Ralf Brookes.

Fox 4 Meteorlogist Andrew Shipley will serve as emcee and The Fort Myers News-Press Journalist Amy Bennett Williams will serve as panel moderator.
