The 3rd Annual Keep Lee County Beautiful Annual Environmental Stewardship Awards were held Thursday, recognizing organizations and individuals who work all year to keep their communities clean. Terry Carling-Keel was chosen as Volunteer of The Year.

In 2024, Keep Lee County Beautiful’s 35 year, 58,086 pounds of trash and debris were removed from the environment, 170 trees and 808 shrubs were planted, there were 192 community cleanups and 1 underwater cleanup. Also, 286 miles of roadside were cleaned and 342 miles of shoreline. Nearly 4,000 people volunteered 8,755 hours of their time.Â
Congrats Terry! Terry is always one of the first people to volunteer. He is an asset to KLCB and FMB.
