Friends of Matanzas Pass Preserve Meeting

On May 20th at 11AM The Friends of The Matanzas Preserve will hold their annual meeting at 11AM at the Historical Society building at 161 Bay Road on Fort Myers Beach.

At the meeting new board members for 2025-2026 will be elected and an organizational meeting with the new board will be held immediately after.

Matanzas Pass Preserve has been closed since Hurricane Ian damaged it in September of 2022.

Matanzas Pass Preserve is owned by Lee County. It’s nearly 60-acres of unspoiled sanctuary located one mile south of Matanzas Pass Bridge just off Estero Blvd. on Estero Island, within the Town of Ft. Myers Beach.

The Friends of Matanzas Pass Preserve is a 501(c)3 “dedicated to the preservation, protection and enhancement of the natural and fragile beauty of the Preserve to create a legacy for future generations.”
