Calusa Waterkeeper is hosting the 2nd annual “Taps Flow for H2O” series during the month of August to celebrate National Water Quality Awareness Month. The celebration includes a lineup of community events, craft beer collaboration, and fundraising. It’s all dedicated to protect and restore Southwest Florida’s water resources.
Taps will be overflowing with a collaborative craft beer launch by four breweries: Swamp Cat Brewing Co., Point Ybel Brewing Co., Kaleidoscope Brewing Co., and Chubby Mermaid Brewing Co. These brewers will unite on the morning of Friday, August 1 at Swamp Cat to craft a special, limited-edition beer: the Calusa Crusaders Citrus Ale.
The Calusa Crusaders Citrus Ale will make its official debut at the Taps Flow for H2O Beer Fest on Saturday, August 23 from noon to close at Swamp Cat Brewing Co., featuring live music, games, and giveaways. Each brewery will be pouring some of their own popular brews on the 23rd as well. A portion of Calusa Crusaders Citrus Ale beer sales at the event and at each participating brewery will be donated to Calusa Waterkeeper while supplies last.
But that’s just one stop on this month-long journey for clean water. Mark your calendar for all four.

Taps Flow for H2O Beer Fest will feature craft beers from four local brewers and their official debut of the Calusa Crusaders Citrus Ale, with live music, games, giveaways, and fundraising to support clean water. - Saturday, August 30 | License to Chill Rooftop Bar, Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach | Noon – 6 PM
The month concludes with a high-energy rooftop celebration featuring local celebrities, games, and giveaways sponsored in part by Corona Beer. Calusa Waterkeeper will be announcing the winner of a 2-night stay at Margaritaville Beach Resort at 6 pm—every $10 online donation earns one entry to win.
