The Fort Myers Beach Art Association is hosting “Celebration,” an exhibition commemorating FMBAA’s 75th Anniversary. The exhibition will run from Monday, October 27 through Friday, December 5th showcasing works from both long-standing and emerging member artists.

This moment marks not just an anniversary, but a powerful resurgence for the association. After the original Fort Myers Beach gallery was destroyed in 2022 by Hurricane Ian, FMBAA members refused to let their vision fade. The new gallery is the result of that unwavering spirit. “Celebration” is a statement of the resilience and creativity of our community”, says FMBAA President Star Sherwood. “This exhibition acknowledges the challenges we’ve overcome and looks forward to our inspired future.”

Located in the heart of Fort Myers, the new gallery offers expanded exhibition space, a large classroom, and modern amenities to support the association’s growing programs in art education and community outreach. The gallery’s location in the beautiful Cypress Square shopping center honors old Florida coastal living while providing a contemporary and welcoming space for artists and visitors alike.

The 75th Anniversary Grand Opening will be held on Saturday, November 1st from 3- 7 PM, featuring live acoustic music by Key West X-Press, refreshments, door prizes and opportunities to meet the artists.

The Fort Myers Beach Art Association invites art lovers, supporters, and the wider community to join in this historic occasion—honoring 75 years of artistic excellence on Fort Myers Beach and celebrating the dawn of a new era.

The Art Association is located at 13451 McGregor Blvd, Unit #1, in Fort Myers.
