What’s Up FMB is hosting the inaugural Illuminations Parade at dusk Saturday. The parade is a lantern-lit procession filled with color, creativity, and family fun. The parade starts at Bayside Park, heads up Old San Carlos to the beach and finishes at DiamondHead.

Presented by the King Family Foundation and The Whale, the Illuminations Parade will feature handmade lanterns of all shapes and sizes—celebrating art, animals, and family. Local workshops leading up to the event will give community members the opportunity to design their own lanterns.

What’s Up FMB President Dawn Miller said, “Lanterns represent light, creativity, and unity. This parade is about bringing our community together in a joyful, family-friendly way.”

The parade is free to attend and open to all ages. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lanterns or join one of the upcoming lantern-making workshops.
