This Lee County owned property will soon become a golf cart and bicycle parking lot, according to Lee County Commissioner David Mulicka, who made the announcement at The Whale ribbon cutting celebration last Friday.
The property was originally planned to be a parking location for the trolley but will become something much more useful. That area is also going to be used as a staging area for construction once the Salty Crab breaks ground on rebuilding next to Lah De Dah across Estero Boulevard from this property.
It’s more than likely there will be a parking charge for golf carts and free bike parking.
Free golf cart parking helps locals ( those who have golf carts) go downtown and not be hit with a parking fee. It would be a nice benefit for residents and create a nice beach vibe!
Please inform us that the space will not solely be a concrete slab, but rather something appealing with landscape. What will the design of the space look like as visitors drive over the bridge?
