Fort Myers Beach VFW Post 10097 is hosting a special Veterans Day & Marine Corps 250th Birthday Celebration. Doors Open at 10AM anf the celebration begins at 11AM.
The event will kick off with a performance by Guns N Hoses Pipes and Drums, a volunteer group formed in 2011 by pipers and drummers who honor Police, Fire, and Military services across Southwest Florida. Their members include active and retired Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters, Military Veterans, EMS personnel, and Patriots from across the U.S., Canada, and beyond.
Active-duty Marine recruiters in dress blues will be there to commemorate the Marine Corps’ 250th birthday. Anton J’s will be serving lunch starting at 12:00 noon.
Special guests Greg and Pamela Wells will be honored for their generous support of the Post. The Wells’ donated $25,000 during the Beach Talk Radio fundraiser to keep the VFW open.
