The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife has added two new volunteer orientation sessions, giving community members more opportunities to get involved in local wildlife conservation.

Volunteer orientations will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, and Friday, Dec. 4, at CROW’s Visitor Education Center on Sanibel Island.

CROW is recruiting volunteers for a variety of roles throughout the nonprofit organization.

Volunteer opportunities include grazing gopher tortoises, transporting injured animals, weeding, cleaning rehabilitation enclosures, doing laundry and dishes, working in the gift shop, rescuing wildlife, performing general maintenance and more. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

Volunteer orientation is required for all volunteers and includes an introduction to CROW’s mission and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Wildlife Hospital.

The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife is located at 3883 Sanibel Captiva Road on Sanibel Island.

Advance registration is required. To register, view other volunteer orientation dates or learn more, call 239-472-3644 ext. 229 or visit https://crowclinic.org/get-involved/volunteer/.
