While he wasn’t chosen as the Fire Chief in Loveland, Colorado last week, Fort Myers Beach Fire Chief Matt Love has notified the fire board of Commissioners he wants them to start the process of looking for his replacement. Love is fielding offers from around the country.
Over the next several months, Chief Love will assist the Board of Fire Commissioners with the process of selection, recruitment, and training of his successor, prior to his departure. Love has served the Fort Myers Beach Fire Department since 2016.
Love has not announced when his final day will be.
