The 24th Keep Lee County Beautiful Great American Cleanup is this weekend from 8AM to 11AM. The Fort Myers Beach check-in site is the elementary school on Oak street. There are about 20 of the 100 available spots left to fill.
The event is a call to action to create more sustainable communities by focusing volunteer efforts on activities that impact individuals in need, aesthetic community improvements and environmental impact. Volunteers of all ages are welcome and any individual, family, school, group, place of worship, business or government entity can coordinate or participate.
Le County provides the cleanup supplies, but encourage volunteers to bring their own reusable water bottle and sunscreen. The county will have water, garbage bags, latex gloves, and hand sanitizer.
Event T-shirts (small- XL) provided on a first come, first serve basis.
