The Gulf Coast Young Republicans are hosting an event Wednesday night with Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno and School Superintendant Denise Carlin at Mango Rita’s from 6PM to 8PM.

The town of Fort Myers Beach is hosting its annual Fright Night at Bay Oaks on Friday from 6PM to 9PM. The annual event is a Halloween celebration for the entire family that always draws a big community crowd.

Vice Mayor Jim Atterholt told the Town Council on Monday that he would not seek or accept the nomination as Vice Mayor if any of the other council members were thinking of nominating him.
