The Dixie Fish Company on Fishermans Wharf under the Matanzas Pass Bridge is back open 5 months after Hurricane Ian damaged the popular waterfront restaurant.
An official ribbon cutting was held Thursday and the restaurant will be open at 11AM today. Check out their menu HERE.
The building itself held up fairly well through the storm however, water from the storm surge swept away everything not bolted down. They needed to rebuild the kitchen.
A wildly popular restaurant for locals and tourists alike, The Dixie Fish Co. is located under the Matanzas Pass Bridge right next to Doc Ford’s. It was originally built in 1937 primarily as a Fish Market. The location right on the water made it an ideal location for fisherman having the freshest seafood around, including what became known as Pink Gold.
