Bank Names Beach Branch Manager

Sanibel Captiva Community Bank has announced the hiring of Debbie Mooneyham as the manager for its upcoming branch on Fort Myers Beach, which is expected to open in 2026. Earlier this year SanCap Bank purchased a .41 acre piece of land located at 2670/2680 Estero Boulevard. The sale price for the property, located across the street from the library, was $1.795 million.

Mooneyham will be responsible for helping oversee the bank’s daily operations, including assisting customers with personal and business banking transactions.

Before the beach branch opens, Mooneyham will serve as a floating office manager, gaining training in bank software and systems while actively engaging in business development efforts throughout Fort Myers Beach.

Mooneyham has 50 years of experience working at various community, regional and national banks with more than 30 years spent working in the banking industry on Fort Myers Beach. Mooneyham started with a small community bank in 1984 – First Independence Bank. That bank was purchased by Colonial Bank in 1997 and then Colonial was purchased by BB&T in 2009. She left BB&T in 2018. All those institutions were on Fort Myers Beach.

Mooneyham has been an active member of the Fort Myers Beach community for decades, including being a member of the Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce for nearly 20 years.
