Food Truck Park One Vote Away From Reality
After a 6 hour public hearing Monday the Fort Myers Beach Town Council voted 5-0 to move a proposed Food Truck Park on Estero Boulevard onto a final public hearing and vote April 7th. The proposed venue has been met with stiff opposition from the neighboring residents.
Ebikes on Sidewalks Close to Being Approved
The Fort Myers Beach Town Council is one vote away from changing its ordinance to allow ebikes on town sidewalks. The current ordinance prohibits any motorized vehicles from using sidewalks on Fort Myers Beach.
How You Can Watch The Shrimp Festival Parade
This Saturday Beach Talk Radio will broadcast the 2025 Shrimp Festival parade Live on Facebook and YouTube. The parade starts from The Beach School at 10AM immediately after the 5K run. The Matanzas Pass Bridge will be closed from 8:30AM to Noon.

Ash Wednesday Services and ‘Ashes to Go’
St. Raphael’s Church will begin the Lenten season with Ash Wednesday services tomorrow. A traditional Ash Wednesday service will also be held at noon in the parish hall at 5601 Williams Drive.
Library Set to Re-Open March 16th
The Fort Myers Beach Library has been closed since Hurricane Ian hammered the island on September 28, 2022. The library sustained extensive damage from the storm. The biggest battle has been repairs to the elevator which were recently completed allowing the facility to finally reopen.
