That's what Marine Environmental Resources Task Force member Robert Howell said Wednesday during the committee's first meeting with its two brand new members. Howell was quickly corrected by Environmental Projects Manager Chadd Chustz.

As we reported Tuesday, Florida State Representative Adam Botana plans to propose a Bill to the Florida delegation of legislators that would merge the Fort Myers Beach Fire District into Bonita Springs. We've seen a copy of the proposed Bill and can share the details.

Florida State Representative Adam Botana plans to author a local Bill that would merge the Fort Myers Beach Fire District with Bonita Springs. The goal of the merger, he says, would be to save taxpayer money by consolidating redundant positions. Botana says this will not affect coverage on the beach in any way.
