The Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce surveyed 29 colleges to see what their plans were. Here's what they discovered...

The Pub Without The Putt Hauls in Over $6K

This past Saturday between 40 and 50 people took part in The Pub Without The Pub Crawl following the cancellation of the Woman's Club Putt & Pub Crawl due to COVID-19. The goal was to save some of the money collected each year and distributed to several community organizations.

Bed Tax Collection Down 14%, Airport Traffic Way Down

The Lee County Tourist Development Council reported that resort tax revenue collected in November 2020 was $2.32 Million, a 14% decline from November 2019 ($2.7 million). In October 2020 $2.167 million was collected. Year-to-date, $4.6 million has been collected, a decrease of 7.5% from 2019. (The TDC fiscal year begins in October).
