Many of you have asked about the building in this picture - 2100 Estero Boulevard. Chris Loffreno from Loffreno Real Estate tells us that a permit has been applied for with the town to demolish the building.

The first public hearing for the 2026 fiscal budget is less than one week away, Thursday, September 11th at 5PM. The Fort Myers Beach Town Council is considering a 26% increase in the millage rate to help make up a mult-million budget shortfall.

The 11th Annual Island Hopper Songwriter Fest is this month, and Margaritaville Resort on Fort Myers Beach will be hosting the kick-off event on Friday, Sept. 19, in addition to a packed weekend of live music September 26th through the 28th.

The Island Hopper Songwriter Fest kicks off with a preview party at Swamp Cat Brewing Co. in Fort Myers Thursday from 6-9 p.m. Local favorite Sheena Brook will perform and host the event along with performances from singer-songwriter Angie K.
