Hyatt Agrees To Stay At Least One More Month
Hyatt has agreed to stay on as Town Manager until the end of May to help with his transition out. The town will pay Hyatt an additional $1,000 for the month of May on top of the regular monthly installment from his $197,000 annual salary.
Spring Fling is Back
The Fort Myers Beach Art Association is hosting its first show in their new Gallery. “Spring Fling” will kick off the summer series of rotating exhibitions, with a different theme each month. This show runs from Tuesday, April 22 – Friday, May 30.
San Cap Opens Temporary Office
SanCap Bank has opened a temporary office at 100 Lovers Lane on Fort Myers Beach that will be open every Wednesday from 9:30AM to 2PM. This is the only bank open on the entire island. SanCap is planning to build a new bank on Estero Boulevard by next year.

Community Foundation Event Raises Over $14K
The 2025 Casino Night fundraiser for The Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation held at DiamondHead Resort helped the beach 501c3 raise over $14,000. The money will be distributed to local organizations at the Island’s Pancake House on Tuesday, May 6th.
Another Beach Milestone
On Palm Sunday St . Peter Lutheran Church on Estero Blvd. had its first service inside the church since September 2022. It was a total surprise to the congregation who had been worshipping under a tent and was expecting to do it again on Sunday.
Ugly Duckling House Could Be Down Today
According to one of our regular followers who spoke to the contractor, Sergei Kaminskiy's house across from The Pink Shell Resort is scheduled to be demolished today. The demo permit was issued last week and the contractor was setting up Monday.
No Shows This Weekend
We rarely take an entire weekend off from Fort Myers Beach (who can?). There will be no shows at Margaritaville or Wahoo Willie's this weekend. Kim and I would like to wish all of our followers a very Happy Easter weekend.
