Times Square Preliminary Rendering Released

Earlier this week, the Times Square Committee, which is made up of Times Square property owners, sent a preliminary rendering of a proposed new Times Square. The rendering was sent to several Town Council members and the Chamber of Commerce.

Mooring Field Cost Taxpayers $157K Over 5-Year Period

As a result of a freedom of information request with the Town of Fort Myers Beach we've received the mooring field financials for 2015 to 2019. Over those 5 years Fort Myers Beach taxpayers have subsidized the mooring field by contributing $157,363 to the operation.

FEMA Gives Fort Myers Beach Another 30 Days

Since 1980, the popular restaurant Plaka was located in Times Square before Hurricane Ian came though and destroyed the building. The restaurant will not be returning to Times Square, the property is now for sale.

Beach Renourishment Bids To Be Opened Today

Bids will be opened this morning at 10:35 for the massive pipeline beach renourishment project the town is hoping to start in June. The bids were originally expected to be opened Monday April 15th, then they were moved to Friday the 19th before being moved to today.
