366 tickets have been sold far for the second annual Mr’s Roper Caftan Crawl to benefit FMB Strong on Saturday, February 8th. The pub crawl starts at 11AM, it will make 8 stops and it begins at Margaritaville.

Amy Siewe, AKA The “Python Huntress,” abandoned a successful real estate business for her newfound passion of hunting the Burmese pythons threatening Florida’s native wildlife. The Naples resident has bagged over 600 pythons.
Doc Ford’s Helping The Kids
Customers of Doc Ford’s on Sanibel and Fort Myers Beach have been supporting Golisano Children’s Hospital simply by ordering a specialty cocktail. The restaurant’s Hospital Drink program donates $1 from each sale of select drinks and has raised $5,874 so far.
2025 Putt & Pub Raises New Record
330 golfers participated in the 13th annual Fort Myers Beach Woman’s Club Putt & Pub charity event this past Saturday where a record $65,000 was raised. The money will be distributed amongst 9 beach 501c3 organizations.
Only 28% of Hotels Are Open on Sanibel
28 months after Hurricane Ian wreaked havoc on Southwest Florida, SanCap President John Lai reported last week that of the 1,728 rooms that were available before Ian on Sanibel, only 483 are available today.
How Many Crashes Took Place on The Beach?
Between the years of 2019 and 2024 the Lee County Metropolitan Organization reports that there have been 556 accidents on the streets of Fort Myers Beach. There were 156 injuries in those crashes and 3 deaths.
