New Decals Are Out To Support Manatees & Turtles

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has released its 2024-2025 manatee and sea turtle decals. New, waterproof decals featuring original artwork are released every year in July and are available for a $5 donation at your local tax collector’s office.

The Yellow Army Lounge which will be part of the new Fort Myers Beach Woman's Club building on Sterling Avenue. For a $50 donation you can become part of the permanent mosaic that will be on the wall in the lounge of the new building. It's all part of the Capital Campaign to rebuild the Woman's Club building.

Patriot Day Scheduled For September 11th

Fort Myers Beach Town Council Member Karen Woodson's idea to put tolls at the two bridges coming over to Fort Myers Beach was put to rest Wednesday. Woodson wanted to explore installing tolls as a way to reduce traffic to the beach and cut-through's she says occur from the Bonita side.

KLCB Removes 700 Pounds of Trash From Beach

On Thursday, Keep Lee County Beautiful and 40 volunteers removed 700 pounds of debris from Fort Myers Beach. Town staff took 9 loads to the dumpster and College Hunks Moving Junk took several loads away in their truck. To learn more about KLCB and sign up for a future event GO HERE.

How Much Sand Did The Beach Lose Due to Debby?

About 4 dump truck loads of sand was pushed off Fort Myers Beach by Hurricane Debby last Sunday. That sand is being cleaned and put back on the beach by the town as quickly as possible.
