The Lee County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Coast Guard will host Patriot Day on Monday September 11th from 9AM to 11AM at  719 San Carlos Drive, Fort Myers Beach.

Fort Myers Beach Town Council Member Karen Woodson's idea to put tolls at the two bridges coming over to Fort Myers Beach was put to rest Wednesday. Woodson wanted to explore installing tolls as a way to reduce traffic to the beach and cut-through's she says occur from the Bonita side.

How Much Sand Did The Beach Lose Due to Debby?

About 4 dump truck loads of sand was pushed off Fort Myers Beach by Hurricane Debby last Sunday. That sand is being cleaned and put back on the beach by the town as quickly as possible.
