One of the first things Jesse Purdon did when elected to the Bonita Springs City council was look at the contract Bonita had with LCSO. He noticed that while the city was growing it was not adding more deputies to its community policing program.
In this audio interview conducted with Purdon yesterday he tells us why he wanted to increase the number of deputies, why the program works and why he believes Fort Myers Needs to get onboard.
