The 2nd annual Mrs. Roper’s Caftan Crawl this past Saturday on Fort Myers Beach raised over $20,000, according to FMB Strong Disaster Relief Manager Heidi Jungwirth. Over 500 tickets were sold in advance for the event which resulted in hundreds of men and women dressed up like Mrs Roper.

The pub crawl made 9 stops and concluded with a party at Cabana’s at DiamondHead Resort. Participating bars and restaurants included La Ola, Wahoo Willies, Nervous Nellie’s, Petey’s Upper Deck, Rude Shrimp, Mr. Waves, Sandy Bottom’s and Cabana’s. Everyone who finished the crawl received a nice medal.

Todd Propeck from Pittsburgh (pictured right) flew down for the Caftan Crawl and won first place in the best dressed contest.

The King Foundation was the major sponsor for the event.

FMB Strong has announced that the 3rd annual Mrs. Roper crawl will be held February 7, 2026.

  1. OMG…. Grown men, dressed up as women? In public? Where there most likely were children present? I sure hope that someone called the police or the Gov and reported these dangers to society!!!!
