A Celebration of Life
Dr. Ronald Lea, a longtime resident and optometrist on Fort Myers Beach, passed away peacefully on December 24th, 2024. He was 88. His family will be hosting a celebration of life at 2:00 PM on January 25th, 2025 at 807 San Carlos Dr.

Mayor Defends Fogged Up Fireworks
Mother Nature dealt one final ugly blow to Fort Myers Beach before sending 2024 into the history books. A thick fog sat on top of the island from the early morning hours on December 31st and hardly moved before 2025 was ushered in with clear skies and bright sunshine.
BTR 5K Raises $16,500 For Woman’s Club
Our New Year's Eve 5K, which started and ended at DiamondHead Resort, on Fort Myers Beach raised $16,500 for the Fort Myers Beach Woman’s Club. 640 people registered for the 2nd annual event.Â

6 property owners will now appear in front of a State Administrative Judge next week, down from 8 one week ago. The town of Fort Myers Beach is going after these property owners to remove trailers and conex storage boxes.
