Tunaskin Announces Date For Mayhem
Tunaskin’s Mid-May Mayhen Beach Fishing Tournament will be held May 17th on Fort Myers Beach. Teams of two will fish from the beach and compete for thousands of dollars in prizes. Adult team registration is $75 and Jr team registration (5-15) is $50.
Packed House For Easter at St. Peter’s
Easter Sunday was a very special day at St. Peter Lutheran Church. Over 200 people turned out for Easter service in the newly rebuilt sanctuary. Reverend Tom Frey delivered a message of hope and salvation and the choir offered some amazing music.

Pink Shell Hosting a Beach Cleanup Tuesday
To commemorate Earth Day 2025 The Pink Shell Resort is hosting a beach cleanup at 7AM Tuesday. Volunteers can show up at the resort and let the parking attendants know you are there for the cleanup.

The Fort Myers Beach Anchorage Advisory Committee and Marine Operations Team are hosting a celebration for boaters who use the Matanzas Pass Mooring Field. The public is invited to attend the event at Bayside Park, Sunday April 27th at 1PM.
Hyatt Agrees To Stay At Least One More Month
Hyatt has agreed to stay on as Town Manager until the end of May to help with his transition out. The town will pay Hyatt an additional $1,000 for the month of May on top of the regular monthly installment from his $197,000 annual salary.
Spring Fling is Back
The Fort Myers Beach Art Association is hosting its first show in their new Gallery. “Spring Fling” will kick off the summer series of rotating exhibitions, with a different theme each month. This show runs from Tuesday, April 22 – Friday, May 30.
San Cap Opens Temporary Office
SanCap Bank has opened a temporary office at 100 Lovers Lane on Fort Myers Beach that will be open every Wednesday from 9:30AM to 2PM. This is the only bank open on the entire island. SanCap is planning to build a new bank on Estero Boulevard by next year.
