Chamber Hosting Annual Awards Banquet This Friday

The Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce’s annual meeting and awards gala is this Friday from 5PM to 8PM at Margaritaville. Tickets are $60 per person and include entertainment, heavy hors d’oeuvres, dessert table, a signature drink, and a drink ticket. 

DeSantis Wants To Give You Money

On Monday Florida Governor Ron DeSantis proposed a rebate to homesteaded property owners of about $1,000 which he says will “deliver immediate property tax relief to Florida homeowners.” If approved by the legislature your check would arrive in December. 

Art Association To Open Retail Space Off Island

The Fort Myers Beach Art Association has been without a building since Hurricane Ian destroyed it over 2 years ago. The building was located on Shell Mound Blvd adjacent to the Red Coconut property. Here's what they have planned until a new building can be built.

When Will St. Peter’s Building Be Ready?

There's a lot of final work being done at St. Peter’s Church on Estero Boulevard. After Ian, a portion of the building was demolished while another section was saved. Church services have been held in a tent in the church parking lot.
