Circuit Court Judge Michael McHugh has given the town of Fort Myers Beach 30 days to file a response showing cause as to why the requested relief should not be granted. Once that has been filed, the residents who filed the Writ of Certiorari will have 30 days to respond to the town.

Social media can be a great way for opinions to be heard. It can also be a cesspool of negativity. As of July 1st lee County will no longer allow anyone to post comments on their social media pages.

This July, Southwest Florida’s creative community will light up the summer with Fireworks, a vibrant art exhibition showcasing the energy and color of local talent. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

Not long after Fort Myers Beach town councilman John King filed a lawsuit against former council member Bill Veach, Karen Woodson filed a lawsuit against former Mayor Ray Murphy, who is chairing the recall committee with Veach.

Realtor Jorge Barrera from Premiere Plus Realty has shared new data he compiled that shows the real estate activity on Fort Myers Beach has been relatively quiet as of late.

La Ola attorney Amy Thibaut has filed the restaurant’s final brief with the Lee County Circuit Court. The Town of Fort Myers Beach is trying to remove La Ola from its current location in Times Square.

On Monday Governor DeSantis signed legislation that he says will provide relief to all condo owners. DeSantis said, “We’re delivering reforms that will provide financial relief and flexibility, strengthen oversight for condo associations, and empower unit owners.”

There's a joint Fort Myers Beach Town Council/LPA meeting Thursday at 9AM. There is only one agenda item: The Comprehensive Plan and the community feedback the town received during several outreach meetings about the document. 

Vacation Villas at 100 Estero Boulevard is back open, 33 months after Hurricane Ian did severe damage to the building nearly 3 years ago. We got the full tour last Saturday, including the million dollar view, the plantings that saved the building, and several units.
