The American Sand Sculpting Championship is back on Fort Myers Beach. DiamondHead Resort is hosting the 2024 event which started yesterday and runs through Sunday. Here's the entire schedule of events…

Mid February according to the General Manager of New York Pizza & Pasta. Sanntini Plaza, on the south end of Fort Myers Beach, has been without a restaurant since September of 2022.

Town Manager Andy Hyatt tells Beach Talk Radio that the world famous Poinsettia tree will return to Times Square next week. The tree has been a beloved selfie spot on the beach since 1996. Every year since Ian the Poinsettia’s have been anonymously donated to the town.

Another major Fort Myers Beach event is back. Hosted, by the Fort Myers Beach Woman’s Club, the 12th annual Putt & Pub will be Saturday, January 18th. Here are all the details for the extremely fun event. 

FMB Strong continues to support the local community. With Thanksgiving a few weeks away, FMB is asking for help with donations with a goal of helping 100 local families. Your $75.00 donation will provide a full Thanksgiving dinner, including a delicious pie.

The game of chicken has started between the Town of Fort Myers Beach and FEMA. Despite a July letter that demanded the town make sure all trailers and containers are off the beach by November 18th, the town is now moving forward with its code violation process. 

(By Beach Baptist Pastor Shawn Critser) Now that code violations have been officially issued, as a business/community resource center that received one, I would like to make a statement to the Fort Myers Beach community. 

Last month, after the LPA approved EIBC’s new building proposal, the Town Council denied it. The reason, not enough public benefit to warrant a 10-story building. The denial was done with prejudice which means EIBC would have to sit out the process for a year.
