With the pending opening of the new Welcome & Discovery Center, Friends of Lovers Key is inaugurating its first-ever Artist-in-Residence program with Jenny Morley Licht.
Jenny will kick off the new program with an Earth Day Plein Air Painting presentation on the lower level of the new Center, April 22, from 9 am to noon. Beginning in October, she’ll teach a monthly “Nature-in-Mind” class, the third Saturday of each month, with a different topic offered each month.
In addition to Jenny’s programs, art programs at the Welcome & Discovery Center will feature local and state nature artists and photographers throughout the year. Local artists’ work will be on sale at the Book Nook in the Exhibit hall, including paintings, ceramics, and jewelry.
