Shortly after 6PM Thursday evening Fort Myers Beach Fire crews were dispatched to a gas leak in the area of Old San Carlos and Estero Blvd. Upon arrival, they found an underground propane tank that had been damaged by construction equipment and was leaking propane.
Crews had the area cordoned off and were working with the regional Haz Mat team out of the City of Fort Myers to mitigate the risk.
