Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed Michael Poff, Greg Scasny, and Sallie Seabury to the Fort Myers Beach Public Library District. The Library, like the Fire District on Fort Myers Beach is its own taxing entity.

Scasny is the Chief Technology Officer, Co-Founder, and Board Member of Blueshift Cybersecurity, Inc. and the Chief Information Security Officer for CPR Tools, Inc. He is an alumni board member for the Southwest Florida Regional Technology Partnership. Scasny earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and technology from Purdue University.
Seabury is retired. She previously served on the Fort Myers Beach Public Library District from 2004 to 2020. Seabury earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Duke University.
The 3-story Fort Myers Beach library suffered extensive damage during Hurricane Ian and is now being repaired. The entire first floor was underwater and the elevator is still not working. Operations Manager Liz Rhodes is hopeful the facility might be able to reopen before the end of the year. Watch our walkaround video with Rhodes HERE.
