The Fort Myers Beach Fire Control and Rescue District is currently undergoing the development of a four-year strategic planning process. The district is looking for your input to help them formulate the plan they plan to implement for the next several years.

Disband the FMBFD. The administration costs are far too high. It should have been merged with the nearby municipalities long ago to put an end to the tremendous waste. Better still, all fire departments should be merged into one run by the county. That is what is happening elsewhere.
