Get ready to shop as its time for the 2021 Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday which begins Saturday, July 31 and runs through Monday, August 9, the day before kids in Lee County return to school.
There is no limit on the number of qualifying items you can buy during the holiday period. Items which will be exempt from tax include: certain clothing, footwear, and accessories selling for $60 or less per item, certain school supplies selling for $15 or less per item, and the first $1,000 of the sales price of personal computers and related accessories purchased for noncommercial home or personal use.
Items purchased online qualify for the sales tax holiday as well as items purchased with a gift card.
The 2021 Florida Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday does not apply to: rentals or leases of any eligible items or repairs or alterations of any eligible items.
