Here’s an update on road construction to keep an eye out for on Estero Boulevard as work continues south. This week north and south bound traffic will be shifted to the beach side while crews install storm drainage, sidewalk, and driveway aprons, and rebuild the roadway on the bay side.
Beginning today through Thursday, 7/22, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., crews will be paving the closed northbound lane from south of Santini Plaza to the south end of the island.
You may experience momentary delays while crews move materials in and out of the work area. Motorists at driveways and side streets may experience ingress/egress delays when the paver is at your driveway or side street.
Lee County is expecting the Estero Boulevard road construction work to be done by the end of this year, or early 2022 at the latest.
