As we get further and further away from September 28, 2022, property owners on Fort Myers Beach want to see more of their neighbors cleaning up their properties. What is the town government doing about it?

Morgan Bentley, the attorney representing both Karen Woodson and John King in their Town Council recall fight, has asked the Circuit Court to consolidate the cases so they can both be heard before the same judge.

Attorney Morgan Bentley isn’t wasting any time. He’s filed documentation requesting Ray Murphy and Bill Veach (pictured) turn over everything related to the recall campaign they launched against Karen Woodson and John King.

As we reported back in June, Town Attorney Nancy Stuparich advised the Town Council that Florida law requires the town to cover the legal fees for Council members John King and Karen Woodson in their fight against the recall. Here’s what the bill is so far.

The Fort Myers Beach Art Association is launching its summer exhibit called “Summer Sizzle”on August 1st and running through August 19th. The exhibit will be on display at  the association’s Gallery on McGregor Boulevard.

Volunteers are still needed for the Gulf Coast Surf & Beach Festival, hosted by Surfers for Autism. The annual event on Fort Myers Beach is tomorrow at Crescent Beach Family Park from 8AM to 4PM.

On Monday La Ola attorney Amy Thibaut responded to a court filing from the Town of Fort Myers Beach requesting that Circuit Court Judge Keith Kyle expedite the case, dispense with oral arguments, and rule on the eviction of La Ola from Times Square immediately.
