How You Can Help Island Workers

Kristin Carrington has reactivated her FMB TipJar fundraising campaign to help restaurant and bar employees on Fort Myers Beach who lost revenue because their place of employment was closed due to Hurricane Milton. Here’s where you can donate.

Carrington tells Beach Talk Radio News the intent of FMB TipJar (as a result of Covid) was to allow people who were not in FMB to “tip” the servers that they know, and even randomly tip someone that they don’t know. “We personally tipped every person who signed up so that we knew that their method of accepting tips was working. We only received outside donations (that were distributed to all people signed up equally) after Ian hit. I hope we will receive more to be able to do that again, over and above what individuals are tipping to specific servers.”

Since many original employees have changed jobs or moved, Kristin is asking everyone to sign up again. It’s simple.

Go to www.FMBTipJar.com
Click on “Add Yourself”.
Enter your name, email, employer and position.
Upload your photo.
Enter any message you have for people donating tips!
Enter your Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, and/or PayPal.

FMB TipJar will take it from there.

FMB TipJar works very closely with the Fort Myers Beach Woman’s Club.
