Saturday night’s Mile Wide Concert at The Ranch in Fort Myers was a HUGE success, according to organizer Chris O’Neill.

O’Neill was our guest on episode #141 of Beach Talk Radio. The event brought in thousands of dollars in donations and hundreds of toys.

O’Neill and his charity Bent Hook organized the country concert to help feed the homeless and spread holiday cheer to children.

Over 500 people attended the event and enjoyed a variety of bands as they bid on a mountain of auction items.

Over 300 toys were also donated.

O’Neill (pictured far right) told Beach Talk Radio news, “We pulled off the Fort Myers event of the year by celebrating the music to help so many.”

Donna Aiossa-McNally was given a new wheelchair at the Mile Wide Concert.

One of the highlights of the evening was a surprise donation of  a motorized wheelchair given to a woman who lost her leg after enduring 19 surgeries. Donna Aiossa-McNally who attended the event said it was an amazing time and great to see all that was collected.

The toys and money raised will benefit Lucy’s Love and light ministries in North Fort Myers. The organization will celebrate its 16th annual Christmas Outreach on December 19th at 10AM. This event will be a drive thru/walk thru line distribution for toys and food. O’Neill, who owns of Sir Pizza, will also be there providing meals, more toys and has lined up barbers to provide haircuts.
